Perhaps the most well known Zabrak became famous for being the first Sith Lord to show his face to the Jedi in over a thousand years, and being the one to kill Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn. Darth Maul is rumored to have once been Khamier Sarin, a Zabrak infant who disappeared from his family on Iridonia approximately 25 years before the Battle of Naboo. Likely, Darth Sidious traveled to Iridonia in hopes of finding a Force-sensitive Zabrak infant to steal and raise as his apprentice because he knew of the Zabrak's natural abilities to withstand pain and be great warriors. Darth Maul was raised to be a weapon, Darth Sidious being the only "parent" he ever knew. Maul's Sithly Zabrak tattoos were applied by his master when he passed the trials to become a full-fledged Sith Lord.

Eeth Koth most likely has his Zabrak heritage to thank for his life as a Jedi. Having been born in the Nar Shaddaa slums, Eeth was already four years old before the Jedi discovered him, and he was deemed too old to be trained. However, due to his high tolerance to pain and extremely strong mental discipline -- both Zabrak traits -- the Council was convinced that he was too strong a candidate to be left behind, and so they began his Jedi training. Eeth would later become a member of the High Jedi Council, and a great and respected Jedi Master.

Not to be confused with Agen Kolar.
Zan Yant was a Republic surgeon during the Clone Wars, who was stationed at a mobile miltary hospital on the planet Drongar. Zan was a great surgeon, having gone to prestigious medical schools, but was also known for playing the quetarra, a traditional Zabrak instrument. Zan loved to play classical Zabrak music and was quite well known as a musician on his homeworld, the Zabrak colony of Talus.
Maris Brood is an example of a Zabrak with pure skin (no tattoos), presumably due to being raised as a Jedi. Although other Zabrak Jedi have been tattooed to honor their culture, Maris was most likely one who felt being a Jedi removed her from her cultural roots, or perhaps wasn't even familiar with Zabrak traditions. Maris survived Order 66 with her Jedi Master and narrowly escaped turning to the dark side afterward.
